We are in the middle of Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. Chapter 6 involves many “how to’s”.
Prayer is talking to God. Why do we need to be trained in prayer?
Prayer is not meant to be confusing.
Prayer is a daily reminder of the reality of God’s presence.
The deeper your prayer life, the deeper your faith will grow during the trials of life.
1. Be aware of potential trials.

Temptation - A trial of any kind. Any situation that opens the door for sin.
In other words, hardships that cause spiritual friction.
Committed to one road even though a wreck has happened.
Trials are necessary but if the Lord offers you a chance to avoid, take it!
Avoid areas that can give birth to future sin. Satan is smart with centuries of experience. You cannot be him. Jesus is the answer.

Believers will face testings or trials of many kinds.
Receive with joy. (James 1:2)
Goes does allow His children to go through times of testing.
Disciples are aware of their own weaknesses. When you’re in a trial, pray to be delivered from evil.
Who in here has a sweet tooth?
If you are trying to refrain, don’t you try to avoid bakery’s?
But what if there is a reason why you can’t? (Nursing Homes)
Sometimes, we have to walk through the fire and trust Jesus.
Jesus is our hope in the trial.
Since God has forgiven members of His kingdom, they must forgive others.
This gift from God brings a responsibility.
