In the parable of the House on the rock Jesus gives two clear examples of wisdom. One of which had built on the rock, signifying a strong foundation and confidence. The second man did not hink and chose to do things his own way not relying on the wisest way to build a house.

When we listen we can learn, gain wisdom in life, learn from other peoples mistakes.
Wisdom
Wisdom in this world might look like being selfish and looking out for your needs, your comfort and stability in this world. However, that’s not how Jesus defines wisdom. Jesus says in Luke 6:24,
