Today, we come to one of the most infamous Scripture passages in all of the New Testament–Peter’s denial of Jesus. As we know, Peter talked too much, listened very little, refused to pray, acted too fast, and followed Jesus at a distance. 
In other words, Peter has a bad case of the normals. 
Peter represents all of us at one time or another in our own lives. 
And today’s Scripture passage is disturbing because of where that leads.
