Intro:
I would like to talk with you today about the different Harvest found in the Bible. The Bible that teaches us about different harvest. Look with me if you will me as I share with you four different harvest found in the Scripture.
Four Harvests
1. The harvest God provides: “Seedtime and harvest...shall not cease” (Natural harvest)
Genesis 8:22 NKJV
22 “While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.”
2. The harvest sin produces: “Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap” (What harvest man produces)
Galatians 6:7 NKJV
7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
3. The Gospel harvest: “They (fields) are white already to harvest” (The Harvest God produces)
John 4:35 NKJV
35 Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!
4. The harvest of judgment: “The harvest is the end of the age” (The Harvest of Judement)
Matthew 13:39 NKJV
39 The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels.
While we now understand that the harvest is ment for the lost, Jesus teaches us the necessity of working the fields to bring in as many as possible before the final Harvest of the end time judgement.
Let see what todays scripture teaches us.

The Fields Are Ready

John 4:35 NKJV
35 Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!
The putting off of the harvest.
Complacency has plagued the average church.
I’m comfortable so I want rock the boat.
The time is now.
Life is short and the hearts of men/women are ready.
People are looking for something to fill the void
What’s being used to escape the Gospel harvest.
Denial/argument that they don’t need a savior.
Intellectual, accountability, fear, ect.

The Crops Are Eternal

John 4:36–38 NKJV
36 And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. 37 For in this the saying is true: ‘One sows and another reaps.’ 38 I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors.”
It’s a matter of eternity!
One way or another, people will live forever.
There is a longing for another world in us all, some more than others, but it’s there.
If we discover a desire within us that nothing in this world can satisfy, also we should begin to wonder if perhaps we were created for another world.

The Power Of The Message

John 4:39 NKJV
39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, “He told me all that I ever did.”
The message is simple.
Understanding that the message has the power and not us, will release us from the pressures of growing the Harvest.
I’m responsible for the story
Jesus is responsible for the Harvest growth.
Remember Jesus told the disciples that the harvest was already prepared.
Come see a man who told me all things!!
The story of redemption is the greatest love story ever told.
When presented in love, The message of the Gospel will draw people in. People want to be loved.

The Power Of His Presents

John 4:40–42 NKJV
40 So when the Samaritans had come to Him, they urged Him to stay with them; and He stayed there two days. 41 And many more believed because of His own word. 42 Then they said to the woman, “Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world.”
Just take them to the well.
Let Jesus do the rest.
As much as I would like to say bring them to the church, in stead, bring them to Jesus.
He will do the heavy lifting.
Notice the outcome.
They found validation at the feet of Jesus.
Her message was true.
Notice she was no longer the subject of conversation.
The quickest way to lead a person to Christ if them the see you are real.
Conclusion:
Come see a man that told me things.
Are we sharing that simple story to all who would believe.
The harvest is plentifully but the labors are few.
