Serve God

1 Peter 5:1-5
Elders:
Two ways to take this
Pastors/Leaders
None of you
More mature Christians
Some of you
Keep in mind, if you want so badly to become a leader, ti might be for the wrong reasons (power) and that being a leader comes with a lot of responsibility
James 3:1–2 NASB95
Let not many of you become teachers, my brethren, knowing that as such we will incur a stricter judgment. For we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body as well.
What are elders supposed to do?
Shepherd lovingly
Don’t domineer, be an example
Young ones (New Christians/Students)
Be humble
Let people help you to grow. Actually listen to them, and work to be one of the more mature ones in the future.

Love God and Resist Evil.

1 Peter 5:6-11.
Love God. ( 1 Pet. 5:6-7)
Be humble
Don’t try to be greater than God
Give yourself up to Him
Trust Him
Not just with the big things, the little ones too
Cast ALL your anxiety on Him
Your fears, your insecurities, your grades, all of your acne
Do all of this because of how much He loves you!
Resist Evil (1 Pet. 5:8-11)
Be watchful
You will be tempted to sin (by your own nature or by the devil) so be aware
When you are tempted, resist the temptation! Flee from evil!
If you are faithful and endure, God will sustain and reward you.
