Born of The Water

Jesus said we must be born again of two things: water and Spirit.
In this video we’re going to go over the water as an individual topic.
What is baptism?

βαπτίζω baptízō; fut. baptísō, from báptō (911), to dip. Immerse, submerge for a religious purpose, to overwhelm, saturate, baptize

So to be baptized is to be dipped, immersed, submerged.
In a non religious sense, it was used for the action of immersing clothes for the sake of dying them.

Jesus Commanded Baptism

Throughout Jesus’ ministry and at the end Jesus instructed and expected baptism for converts and disciples
Matthew 28:18–20 NKJV
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Mark 16:15–16 NKJV
15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.

The Church obeyed and commanded baptism

When Jesus resurrected and was raised into heaven, His direct disciples, called Apostle’s took over His ministry.
When bringing people into Jesus’ Church, or group of believers and disciples, baptism was commanded and expected of serious believers.
It was followed by their obedience and action
Here’s to a crowd of Jewish worshippers of God
Acts 2:37–41 NKJV
37 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?” 38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.” 40 And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.” 41 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.
As the Church began to be spread out, the same was expected of Non-Jewish individuals and groups such as the Samaritans, who were half Jews.
Acts 8:4–6 NKJV
4 Therefore those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word. 5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them. 6 And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.
Acts 8:12 NKJV
12 But when they believed Philip as he preached the things concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were baptized.
Acts 8:14–16 NKJV
14 Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them, 15 who, when they had come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit. 16 For as yet He had fallen upon none of them. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
When the time came for totally non Jews to be brought into God’s Family, He sent Peter, whom He gave the authority to extend the opportunity for salvation and inclusion into
Sprinkling?

In contrast to the verb baptízō, to dip, immerse, is the verb rhantízō (4472), to sprinkle, which must not be taken as equivalent to baptízō
