10 And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar. 11 Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other. 12 Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom. 13 But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.

14 And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: 15 For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever. 16 And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered. 17 Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee. 18 Then Abram removed his tent, and came and dwelt in the plain of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and built there an altar unto the LORD

Abram and Lot have no traveled together. They left home together and they have increased in possessions to the point that they have now to separate.....
Rather than bing able to dwell peaceful their workers are having conflict over whats available......
So the Abram being the man of integrity.... that he is gives Abram the choice
Lot stands out and looks upon the well watered plain of Jordan were Sodom was.....
they Scripture says that he pitched his tent toward Sodom.....
He set up looking that direction
Looking in the direction of a valley that contained over 500,000 people and there wasnt 10 righteous
We do not know the expanse of time.... How long it was but Eventually he went from outside the cities to lving inside of them....
Carnality and sin is very progressive.... Church we must have a made up mind.... There must be clear lines draw of outward and inward sin!!
IM here to tell you, where you put your house matters!!
2. Sin & Carnality will cost you!
After Abram intercedes and angles are sent to retrieve Lot we see that he is willing to sacrifice his girls to the men of the city.... to save his guests.....
Could I tell you his moral compass was corrupted....
Can you imagine a situation that a Father would make that deal....
Church hear me be careful where you build your house...... because where you are choose to build it may change you...... it may cost you..... .
His wife couldnt be saved with an angel on both arms..... one instruction dont look back..... but she was sound wound into the culture and its ideals..... She couldnt leave without looking…
It pains me to say it today but there are some in this house.... that iF Sister Farnaz and I get on each side and drag you.... you will still be reaching back to the World....
these are the things that obvously never crossed the mind of Lot when he looked towards the plains of Jordan....
We need Wisdom from God to see the direction the repocussions of decisions we are making today.
For the sake of contrast look at the two men....
one looks up sees decides goes........
the other, the man abram the man who gets up and after God commands and says go our form your people.... The man whos searched for a place a city whose builder and maker is God.....
God says.... Look up, Look around, this is all yours....

14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

Abram.... Knew he was confident that God was with him!!
He was on a mission!! God had called him out of where he was......
He walked in this confidence

1 John 5:14-15 King James Version

14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
