Psalm 93 / Daniel 7:13-14 / John 18:33–37 / Revelation 1:4-8
Psalm 93:1 ESV
1 The Lord reigns; he is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed; he has put on strength as his belt. Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved.

Robed in Mystery - Daniel 7:13-14

Revelation 14:14 ESV
14 Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and seated on the cloud one like a son of man, with a golden crown on his head, and a sharp sickle in his hand.
Revelation 7:9–10 ESV
9 After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”
Isaiah 53:4–6 ESV
4 Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. 5 But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Thanks be to God that King Jesus was robed in mystery; foretold in prophecies centuries before the virgin birth; giving hope to the Old Testament saints; pointing to a coming advent, to a coming revelation.

Robed in Flesh - John 18:33-37

He was not the expected king
His Kingdom (Spiritual, breaking into the physical; the already and not yet)
John 3:16 ESV
16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
2 Corinthians 5:21 ESV
21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
Thanks be to God that King Jesus was robed in flesh; fulfilling Old Testament prophecies; living a life of perfect obedience in our place, dying on Calvary’s cross in our place, and rising from the dead in glorified flesh; proving He is the Messiah, and showing us our own future resurrection.

Robed in Majesty - Revelation 1:4-8

This book / letter is Jesus being revealed in Glory and Majesty
No longer will He be humble; He will come for the great reckoning!
In line with Old Testament prophecy, and according to the eternal will and design of God, He will soon return!
Revelation 6:2 ESV
2 And I looked, and behold, a white horse! And its rider had a bow, and a crown was given to him, and he came out conquering, and to conquer.
1 Thessalonians 4:17 ESV
17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.
The promise of Christ’s return is our hope; His resurrection is proof
John 14:2 ESV
2 In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?
Acts 1:9–11 ESV
9 And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. 10 And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, 11 and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”
Thanks be to God that King Jesus will come again in victory, robed in majesty, as was foretold from the beginning; setting all things right forever.
Psalm 93:1 ESV
1 The Lord reigns; he is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed; he has put on strength as his belt. Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved.
For all who are in Christ, we offer thanks to God for Jesus, our savior and King. He was robed in mystery for many generations. He robed himself in flesh to be our example and substitute. He will come again, rightly robed in majesty to take us home and end all sin and suffering. Thanks be to God for King Jesus!
