Matthew 13:44 NLT
“The Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure that a man discovered hidden in a field. In his excitement, he hid it again and sold everything he owned to get enough money to buy the field.

MESSAGE TITLE: “Plot with Purpose”

STORY:
This time last year we took our year end offering, we were outside and we built an altar out of cinderblocks and we started a tradition in our church of extravagant generosity. It’s a value of ours, but more than that, it’s a lifestyle.
CONTEXT:
MAIN THOUGHTS:
I don’t love money and use God to get more of what I love, I love God and I use money to honor God, serve God, to build the house of God, to expand the Kingdom of God, and to bless the people of God.
You can’t separate yourself from your offering. God accepted Able AND his offering. God rejected Cain AND his offering.
Matthew 13:44
Jesus wasn’t talking to non believers. He was talking to his disciples to test their discernment.
The servant that bought the field didn’t just buy the field to keep the treasure there and let it rot. He bought it so he could use the treasure to make more use out of it!
