I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus, that in every way you were enriched in him in all speech and all knowledge— even as the testimony about Christ was confirmed among you— so that you are not lacking in any gift, as you wait for the revealing of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will sustain you to the end, guiltless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
This answer that question for us.
We give thanks to God ALWAYS because of the grace He gave us though Jesus Christ.
1 Chronicles 16:34–36 ESV
Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever! Say also: “Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather and deliver us from among the nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name and glory in your praise. Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting!” Then all the people said, “Amen!” and praised the Lord.
HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER
Psalm 136:1–3 ESV
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever. Give thanks to the God of gods, for his steadfast love endures forever. Give thanks to the Lord of lords, for his steadfast love endures forever;
John 3:16 ESV
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
FOR GOD SO LOVED
He didnt have to send His son for us. He could of let us just live our lives and not care.
God loves YOU that much.
Ephesians 2:4–5 ESV
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—
So when we are sitting at the Thanksgiving Dinner table and we wonder why brother, sister, or uncle is there after everything they have done to hurt us. Remember God loves them too. And because He loves us we need to love on them.
1 John 4:7–8 ESV
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
We don’t know what they are going through. We need to show the Love of Christ in this community.
2 Corinthians 4:15 ESV
For it is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God.
We need to live our lives for the Glory of God
We don’t need to just SAY it, we need to LIVE it.
What do I mean by that.
Ephesians 5:19–21 ESV
addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.
We need to greet each other with love, greet each other with thanksgiving.
Thanks be to God. We did not get here because of our own doing. We got here because God wanted us to be here.

Psalm 135:5–6 ESV
For I know that the Lord is great, and that our Lord is above all gods. Whatever the Lord pleases, he does, in heaven and on earth, in the seas and all deeps.
