Genesis 19:15-26

Introduction

The Scriptures teach us that to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritual minded is life and peace. Not only that but that we are to set our affections on things above and that our primary concern should be the kingdom. Which says to us that there must be abandonment of all that is in the world if we are to continue with the Lord. Therefore, all the decisions of our lives must be made in light of the plans that God has for us. In other words,

Lot Chose The Plain Of Jordan, And Pitched His Tent Towards Sodom

Be mindful of the choices that you make. What looked to be a good idea ended up being one of the great mistakes of his life.

There Arose A Stink Out Of Sodom

And the angels came to see if the charges against Sodom were merited. They stopped by Abraham's and talked with him. Abraham begin to ask for mercy based on Lot's presence in the city.

Lot Takes The Men Into His House.

And even then the men of the city begin to beat upon the door to come in and know the men in the house. This is what I call the break-in spirit. That wants to force itself on you.

The Men Plead With Lot To Leave The City.

Even knowing that the city is about to be destroyed, they still had to plead with Lot to leave.
