2 John 4-10

2 For the truth’s sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever. 3 Grace bea with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. 4 I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.

5 And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another. 6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. 8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wroughtb, but that we receive a full reward. 9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

These passages warn us of the dangers of false teachers. We can easily tell the false teachers from the true teachers.

True teachers have book, chapter and verse for all they teach. They also keep the book, chapter and verse in context. One can prove almost anything when one takes scripture out of context. THERE IS NO GOD, Psalms 14:1 "Actually it says the fool in his heart says there is no God."

In 2 Timothy 3:16 We see that 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

So let us look into how the early church grew and taught.

Acts 2:37 heard and believed

38 repented and were baptized

41 three thousand were added

Acts 4:4 many heard and believed

Every conversion came from someone teaching and others hearing, believing, obeying.

So what will happen when God Disciplines his children if they are brought to Jesus by fun and games. Better yet show me book chapter and verse telling us or showing us that we are to win people to Christ (Christian social club) by fun and games.
