36 For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.

If you have ever wondered why we give God so much praise this one verse should explain it.

Proverbs 16:4 NLT

4 The Lord has made everything for his own purposes, even the wicked for a day of disaster.

· You are not just some random being made out of nothing.

· There are no coincidences

· All of creation is a showcase of his glory

· Tina and I see some beautiful scenery out in Utah.

· We are told those formations are caused by wind and rain.

· But I see the glory of the Lord in those things

Psalm 19:1 NIV

1 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

· Always have this perspective.

1. Living for God’s glory is the greatest achievement we can accomplish with our lives.

a. The wonder of his glory revealed

i. The Garden of Eden – Moses in the burning bush – the temple – Jesus – the church

ii. It is the very light of heaven.

Revelation 21:23 NIV

23 The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.

iv. When we live for the glory of God it is the greatest accomplishment we can achieve

How can i bring glory to God?

We bring God glory by worshiping him.

a. Worship is our first responsibility to God.

i. John Piper notes, “God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him.”

ii. Go beyond Sunday morning worship

iii. Make it part of your life.

Romans 6:13 NLT

13 Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.

We bring God glory by loving other believers.

a. The family of God

i. And very family has it’s werido

ii. We are still commanded to love each other

John 13:34–35 NIV

34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

We bring God glory by becoming like Christ.

a. Growing as a Christian

i. God wants us to become a mature Christian

2 Corinthians 3:18 NLT

18 So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.

We bring God glory by serving others with our gifts.

ii. Using your shape brings God glory 1 Peter 4:10-11

We bring God glory by telling others about him.

a. You are someone’s only hope.

i. How shall they hear unless someone is sent

2 Corinthians 4:15 NLT

15 All of this is for your benefit. And as God’s grace reaches more and more people, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive more and more glory.

What will you live for?

One of the greatest passages in the bible

John 12:27–28 NLT

27 “Now my soul is deeply troubled. Should I pray, ‘Father, save me from this hour’? But this is the very reason I came! 28 Father, bring glory to your name.” Then a voice spoke from heaven, saying, “I have already brought glory to my name, and I will do so again.”

Jesus had a choose

You have a choose.

Jesus stood at crossroad

Now you stand at a crossroad

Like Jesus make the right chose

John 12:24–25 NIV

24 Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. 25 Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life.
