God's word tells us plainly that ALL those who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. The Lord Jesus told His followers that as we faithfully follow Him we will be hated by the world. Ezra 4 - 6, looking at Old Testament saints, gives us encouragement to persevere, not least by remembering that God is with us and He is in charge of everything.
