Waiting Room

Good morning everyone I just want to start off saying I am so honored that I get the opportunity to speak to you today. For those of you that don’t know who I am yes my name is David Cruz Born in San Jose Ca, moved to paradise Ca when I was 3 years old. Lived there most of my life. Born and Raised a pastor Son. I have an older sister who has always been my biggest fan, supporter, encourager, just best friend. My newest addition to my best friend life would be my beautiful and very talented wife. She hates when I do this but my wife actually was on the voice tv show y’all. I didn’t know her yet. I heard all about that after I met her. But still its fun to say my wife was on the voice. anyways Just want to thank you pastor for letting me speak today. I’ll do my best to get you out on time for lunch. No promises though jk jk we are going to have a good time today.

So I am not sure if any of you know this but Wife was in a car accident over year ago. I remember I was sitting at home about to record my podcast. Then all of a sudden I got a random call. Didn’t know the number I was like should I just let go to voicemail. ( we all think that right? not sure if its a spam call, thank God our phones are finally smart enough to tell us if its a spam call or not, but this one didn’t say spam, So I was just like in my head just pick it up. Thank God I picked up the phone because it was the hospital calling me letting me know that my wife was just in a car accident. I rush to the hospital. once i get there everything is COVID protocol. My mind is forget protocol my wife is here in car accident. Now I am going to be honest. “The word Christian was hard to represent in that moment.” I mean my wife is here because of a car accident. I didn’t know the condition. I am just like everyone get out of my way my wife is here, she needs me. This one nurse was so sweet and nice and can tell I needed something quickly she asked me how she can help I told her my wife was brought here she was in a car accident. Told her her name she looked it up she said okay I will have someone come get you just please wait in the waiting room.

Thats my sermon title for today waiting Room. How many of you have ever had to sit in a waiting room? We all know that some waiting rooms you can be sitting for hours. whether its family member is in the hospital, friend, or maybe your there for you. but majority of us have been in a waiting room.

Instead of sitting inside I had to stand outside, because not sure about any of you but when I am nervous I have to pace. Im pacing waiting for someone to come get me to take me to my wife. That gut wrenching feeling was getting to me. Having to wait was driving me crazy.

I kept getting frustrated because I wanted to see my wife. but in that moment in time she was in the perfect place she needed to be in at that time.

How often do we think someone in our life needs us or that we can help them or fix them. but then realize that they are right where they need to be?

I mean how was I going to help my wife with the pain and agony she was in?

let me tell you about some people I know that were in a waiting room for me

(I know we have some moms and dads that are in a waiting room. maybe your son or daughter is not living for the lord.

Scriptures say train up your child in the ways of the lord, that they may not depart from him.
