What is a miracle?

Miracles demonstrate God’s power

Text: Luke 1:37 “For nothing will be impossible with God.”

psalm 77:14 “You are the God who works wonders; you have made known your might among the peoples.”

Deuteronomy 26:8 “And the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, with great deeds of terror, with signs and wonders.”

Miracles authenticate God’s message from His messengers

John 10:38 “but if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me and I am in the Father.””

Mark 16:17-20 “And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.

And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying signs.”

Just like God used Mary, through the holy spirit, to accomplish his great plan of redemption, God can use you to accomplish his great plan.

So let your life be used.
