I am so excited to teach this message today because it is an opportunity for me to build your faith, through the Bible, for your own personal healing as well as for you to bring healing to others.
We won’t be healed or pray for people to be healed if we don’t absolutely know that healing is available.
100% of the people we never pray for will not be healed by Christ through us.
As Wayne Gretzky said, “You miss 100% of the shots you never take”
We’re going to go to a bunch of scriptures today & I’m going to add in very few thoughts so that you can hear what the BIBLE is saying about Healing - I believe that through exegeting the scripture, The case is very clear.

In the Beginning:

God did not create humans to get sick or die.
God created human kind “in His image.” (God doesn’t get sick)
Genesis 1:26–27 NKJV
26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
God is eternal & we will live eternally with Him or apart from Him depending on our choices.

Where did sickness, disease & death come from?

Romans 5:12 NKJV
12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned—
Sin carries with it sickness, disease, & death
Sin is the root. Sickness, Disease, & Death are the fruit.
Romans 6:23 NKJV
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Deuteronomy 24:16 NKJV
16 “Fathers shall not be put to death for their children, nor shall children be put to death for their fathers; a person shall be put to death for his own sin.
Genesis 2:17 NKJV
17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”
But did Adam & Eve die the day that they ate the fruit of the tree of the Knowledge of Good & Evil? Adam died at 930 years old according to Genesis 5:5
Just as surely as a branch cut off from a tree is already dead even if it looks fresh for a while - when we sin & are cut off from fellowship with God, we are already dead even if it doesn’t immediately look like sin had an effect on us.

What Happened at the Cross?:

Galatians 3:13 NKJV
13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”),
2 Corinthians 5:21 NKJV
21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
Jesus became both a curse and sin for us & nailed them to the cross, but then rose again. Sin and curse couldn’t come back through the grave.
Colossians 2:14–15 CJB
14 He wiped away the bill of charges against us. Because of the regulations, it stood as a testimony against us; but he removed it by nailing it to the execution-stake. 15 Stripping the rulers and authorities of their power, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by means of the stake.
Romans 5:15 NKJV
15 But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many.
Romans 5:17 NKJV
17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)
Isaiah 53:4–5 NKJV
4 Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. 5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
Matthew 8:16–17 NKJV
16 When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, 17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.”
1 Peter 2:24 NKJV
24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.
Isaiah 52:14 NKJV
14 Just as many were astonished at you, So His visage was marred more than any man, And His form more than the sons of men;

Healing is For Today:

Hebrews 13:8–9 NKJV
8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. 9 Do not be carried about with various and strange doctrines. For it is good that the heart be established by grace, not with foods which have not profited those who have been occupied with them.
Malachi 3:6 NKJV
6 “For I am the Lord, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.
John 14:12–13 NKJV
12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. 13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
I have not come across a single scripture (much less 2-3 scriptures) saying that God stopped healing people
If salvation & forgiveness of sin is for today, then healing is for today because they happened simultaneously at the cross

Why are Christians Sick today?:

1. People are not clear on what Jesus actually did for them

1 Corinthians 11:29–30 NKJV
29 For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. 30 For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep.

2. People don’t know that healing is for them and how completely healed they are

Hosea 4:6 NKJV
6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.

3. People keep doing the things that open the door to sickness and disease

Romans 6:14–17 NKJV
14 For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. 15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! 16 Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? 17 But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered.

4. The devil is still killing stealing & destroying (John 10:10, 1 Peter 5:8)

The devil comes to steal kill & destroy
He goes about seeking whom he MAY devour
We cannot just live & sow however we want to - then- expect God to violate His laws of sowing and reaping
There is a difference between ignorantly doing something and testing God
Acts 17:30 NKJV
30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent,

Just One Thing:

Jesus Christ is the same forever & does not change - He was the healer and is still The Healer.
Grab on to your personal healing & take healing to everyone around you.
