There is a Taoist saying – “He who knows does not speak; he who speaks does not know.” There are a number of ways in which we talk about happiness. We are “looking for it”, “pursuing it”, “finding it “ and stumbling on it”, to name a few. I am inspired by the words of my colleague, Dr. Fred Horowitz at www.happiness-after-midlife.com, who writes: "Authentic happiness is fundamentally who we are as human beings – it is hidden, like the sun blocked by the clouds. There is no 'how to' or 'recipe' for it – it just is. It is a question of self-realization, self discovery."
