Acts 1:12-15 Power
Disciples and core of first church add up to about 120 people. Devoted to prayer. NASB says all joined together continuously in prayer for 10 days.
Does that describe our church, or me?
What could I pray about “continuously”?
They prayed for boldness in opposition.
They prayed for sickness and special needs.
They prayed for healing for spiritual issues and protection from the evil one’s attacks.
They prayed to be able to live out the whole new life they had.
They prayed for the Holy Spirit to encourage, unify, challenge them to boldly follow Jesus.
All of this was continuously praying for God’s Spirit to give help, strength, and direction in MISSION. Matt 28:19-20. The driving verb is not necessarily “go” but to proclaim wherever I am.
Before I can pray everywhere all of the time I need to start praying somewhere, some of the time.
