The season of Advent is a time of reflecting on Christ’s entry into the first phase of His earthly ministry. He came as a human babe to show us how to Love God and Love God’s creation. By that idea, you might reflect on what it was like for Israel at this point: suffering as a conquered people, awaiting a promised king to avenge and rescue them. Or think about the days or weeks leading up to the day you met Jesus. Or preceding the day you made Him your Lord and Savior and accepted God’s offer of eternity with Him instead of without Him. Prepare for Christmas by remembering that the day we celebrate Christ’s birth is a celebration of the Love God has for us.
