As we continue our advent sermon series, we’ll highlight the planning and waiting for the coming of Messiah and we’ll observe how God used messengers of His to prepare the way for our Lord’s Messianic ministry. Last week we looked at the Fall—the beginning of the Christmas story, and as we prepare to gather this Sunday for worship and communion, might we in gratitude reflect on how our Sovereign God providentially prepared the way for Jesus to come down and rescue us from sin’s curse.
