If you have ever got to use a vintage nintendo game console, you can understand the concept of what a “reset” means.
There was a button on the front to reset the game and there was also a very distinct art form to cleaning out the game itself and then putting it back in the console.
Sometimes the dust, or so we thought, would keep the game from working properly. One would have to blow the cartridge until you passed out and then insert the game and try again.
Very sophisticated technology.
In the storyline of humanity, we see in the book of Genesis that something went terribly wrong and humanity experienced sin and separation from God. Ultimately it would lead to death as well.
Humanity needed a reset. There needed to be a fresh start.
