Intro - Why was this book written?

So people would believe on the name and receive eternal life.

To know God is Able.

1 John 5:13 “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”

Rev. 12:11 “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”

one of my favorite testimonies is the Hebrew bird and the fiery furnace.

Made Up Mind That God Is Able

“Magnify God and your problems get smaller as He gets bigger”

Daniel 3:16-18 “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.

If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.

But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.”

The Hebrew boys said, “ God Is Able”

What did the Hebrew boys say they would not do?

We will not serve your gods

we will not worship the golden image you’ve set up

*The fact youre in it is proof you can get through it… With God.

A seed needs dirt to see what's in it.

The fire reveals what is stronger than it is.

Coal under pressure becomes a diamond.

The mighty oak is just a little nut who would give up.

The Fourth Man In The Fire

Daniel 3:24-25 “Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellers, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?

They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.

He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”

God’s bigger than the fire.

How many figures were in the fire?

four

*The fourth man showed up in the fire.

Their Hair Was Not Singed Nor Did They Even Smell Like Smoke

Daniel 3:26-27 “Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither.

Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, came forth of the midst of the fire.

And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king’s counsellers, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.”

They didn’t look like what they’d been through.

What was the condition of the Hebrew boys?

their hair was not singed

their coats were unchanged.

there was no smell of fire on them.
