Persistent

I’ve been living for the Lord since 2009, with Jesus’ help, it’s been a consistent relationship.
It wasn’t always that way
What it’s taken
Mentors and being willing to be mentored
Applying what input was given.
Persistence
1. continuing to do something or to try to do something even though it is difficult or other people want you to stop
2. continuing beyond the usual, expected, or normal time : not stopping or going away

Consistence

Consistence
always acting or behaving in the same way
of the same quality
continuing to happen or develop in the same way
Prayer, praise, and worship.
King David
Psalm 5:1–3 NKJV
1 Give ear to my words, O Lord, Consider my meditation. 2 Give heed to the voice of my cry, My King and my God, For to You I will pray. 3 My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up.
Psalm 55:16–19 NKJV
16 As for me, I will call upon God, And the Lord shall save me. 17 Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, And He shall hear my voice. 18 He has redeemed my soul in peace from the battle that was against me, For there were many against me. 19 God will hear, and afflict them, Even He who abides from of old. Selah Because they do not change, Therefore they do not fear God.

Jesus Christ

Mark 1:35 NKJV
35 Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed.
Matthew 26:36–41 NKJV
36 Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to the disciples, “Sit here while I go and pray over there.” 37 And He took with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and He began to be sorrowful and deeply distressed. 38 Then He said to them, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with Me.” 39 He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.” 40 Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “What! Could you not watch with Me one hour? 41 Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
Jesus Christ in the garden (3 hours)
Although I’ve learned to endure through rough and stormy seasons, I have also learned to be persistent in order to be consistent.
With these two things, although situations change, Jesus has helped me to learn that He remains the same in His character and love toward me through it all.
Strive to be consistent and persistent.
