Christ the Key to Evangelism

Intro:

We begin the theme of evangelism for the month of April. Over this month we will learn the power source of evangelism, how we can overcome our fears and techniques on how we can evangelize for the Kingdom of God. The bible tells us in Matthew 28:16-20 “This is the great commission” that we are to go and make disciples.

Prayer:

Father we thank You for Your love and grace towards us and through Your Son Jesus Christ we have been saved from sin and death. Father we pray that Your Holy Spirit brings revelation from Your word to us. Amen.

Point 1

Overcoming your fears

· Common fears you may have when wanting to evangelize;

· Afraid of rejection; Afraid of what others may think; Afraid to share your faith at work; You may think you don’t know enough of the bible; You maybe scared that you will loose relationships with friends and family.

· Romans 8:31 “If God is for us how can be against us”.

· Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.

Point 2

Jesus the Power source

· Jesus is our power source to overcome our fears.

· John 10:10 “I have come to give you life”.

· John 6:44 “Unless the Father who sent Me draws him”.

Point 3

Evangelism Tips

· Love God love people

· Be real

· Go out of your way to build relationships

· Listen to the Holy Spirit

· Pray for your family and friends

· Actions speak louder then words

· Be Jesus to people

Conclusion

Today we have started to cover the theme of evangelism, we have looked at some of the fears we may have and how we can overcome them. Jesus is the power source that we need to evangelize for the kingdom of God and we have looked at some tips on how we can evangelize. My prayer for you this month is that you get a greater understanding of who God is to you and they’re for have a greater desire to those that are away from God come into a relationship with Him. The Key is Christ in us.
