Christmas bring us together

Christmas has always been something to bring us together. The day of the year where we close down the stores, we put to rest our works, we take a momment to stand still and refelct on the amtosphere of not the world but rather the room.

During Christmas there is nothing that is pulling you away. Hopefully no work calls you away, hopefully the only time you leave your house is to visit anothers. Thankfully we are not dependant on the news of what is happening in the world around us.

We are rather inside in celebration. Celebrating the people we gather with. Celebrating the accomplishments of the year. Celebrating the dedication to one another.

See Christmas is the one day where as people everywhere get to press pause and refocus on it all.

When we get to Christmas we get that chance to refocus our minds on what really matters.

So, I challenge you this christmas to refocus your minds on what really matters.

What really matters this Christmas?

Jesus is the occasion of this day, when we wake tomorrow we are going to be filled with excitment for the days activites, filled with joy for the day.

It can be hard to sit down and refocus on the message of Jesus. it can be hard to rest on him.

but I encourage you to take a momment and dwell on the occasion of Luke 2: 4-7

So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.

The Lord came as a dscentdant of the best King in Isreal but he was born in a manager.

The king came as a lowly infant.
