Work out your own salvation

Philippians 2:12-18

Paul is not able to come and be with them at this time. But Paul is not the one who saved them nor is he the one who can mature them in truth.

It is the work of Christ and they must look to Christ in them to grow into a mature follower of Christ.

Are you dependent on your parents spirituality?

Are you dependent on your youth pastors spirituality?

Are you dependent on your teachers spirituality?

Paul tells you to work out your own salvation

Become mature enough to stand on your own spirituality

Mature with urgency and passion

Grab hold of your relationship with God

Allow him to work in you according to his good pleasure

He cares for you and has a plan for you

Mature with action

Allow the Christ to take over every aspect (all things)

Imitate Christ in your dealings with others

maturity is only possible when you are around others

Mature with purpose

Become blameless in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation

Become a shining light of the gospel

We mature through the Word of God
