Gal.6: 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Tiredness- Tiredness is the result of using up energy to do things. Thats why we sleep to allow the body and mind to rest and recover.
Weary-feeling or showing extreme tiredness, especially as a result of excessive exertion. Exhausted. Its the next level beyond tired. Its when you go to sleep and wake up and feel weak and still tired.
Bible Weary- lose heart, faint, be weak, discouraged, to give up.
Growing Weary Doing Good- It starts to grow through seeds
Discouragement- What I do isn’t worth it. “Im sick of all the hassle and flack I take” “Nobody cares or sees what I do” “What I do just gets taken for granted”
Exhaustion- extreem tiredness- Im just so tired its like I cant hardly do this anymore. “Im so tired of all the complaints” “I cant deal with this anymore”
Lost Heart- I feel so heavy and empty inside. I just dont care the way I use to. unenthuiseactive about doing this.
In Due Season- Galatians 6:9 (NKJV) 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
Kiaros- Appointed time- Gods time
Wait On the Lord
Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV) 31 But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
Isaiahs I’ll Go Moment Isaiah 6:8 (NKJV) 8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”
Matthew 11:28–30 (NASB95) 28 “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29 “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 “For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Wait- hope in, wait for and in
Fly- Run- Walk- 3 Speeds of Forward Motion
Lets presume that these 3 activities or states each represent 1 third of your ministry experience in regards to time.
Fly- The Mountain Top- Seasons or moments of elation and I can do....... Im ready to launch into the heights of possibilities-“Ive got the vision and Im ready to fly”
Supernatural Aspect- in the natural people cant fly but with Gods strength and the holy Spirits Power we can...........
Tiredness or wearyness is not mentioned yet.
Run- The Now Moment- Intense Activity- The moments when you have to “Go for it” Sieze the moment. You are excerting your energy and spending your time on the role or vision you have. Theres some serious pace and momentuim going on. This activity now includes the mention of wearyness.
Walk- Consistantly Moving Forward, one foot in front of the other - Keeping going no matter what. Functioning in faith. “I will not let the enemy win”
Illustration- Sitti talking about he had a lot of respect for me because despite peoples attacks, critercisms, accusations we had kept our hand to the plow.
We Lose sight of The Why “The Lord”- Why We Do - The Reason For Season We get involved with Gods hand but dont connect with His heart.
Illustration- National Conference Davies was retiring and he says Im going say something that that he had wanted to say. His greatest sadness in dealing with ministers who has fallen was that thye common denominator was they had all lost contact with the person of Jesus. These people had preached and functioned in the doing but lost the reason why- the person of Jesus.
Sitting Before Doing
Waiting is strongly connected to inactivity or being still. Not doing but paused for something to happen or someone to come. This thing must happen before i do what i am going to do. I cant do what I want to do before this happens.
Rushing Ahead is not Waiting.
Waiting Engages you With The Preson of Jesus- You fall in love with Him Again
He’s The Why-
I do what I do because of who He is and what he has done in me.
I do what I do because I believe he has called me to do it.
We Dont Do Because of the need we do because of Him.
Waiting Produces Power and Effectiveness- “Wait in Jerusalem before you go because you will recieve power.” Supernatural Strength
When you wait on God you get His help and strength.
You can often tell how much someone has been waiting on god by the fruit it produces
Waiting Increases The Longivity- If you dont you “Will Run Out of Gas”
“If You Dont Eat You Will Starve and you Will Die”
How Do You Wait?
You Stop Activity- Still yourself- Morning before you start
You Dont Run Ahead-
Read- Talk- Listen - Meditation
