God's Answer

for Christmas Eve, 2008 

GOD'S ANSWER

Are you one of those people who won’t take no for an answer?  We nearly idolize those people don’t we?  Sales companies especially like them.  But there is a problem with that kind of person.  What if no is the answer that should be given?

1)       Ahaz didn’t want to hear it.  How often are we like that?

2)      Jesus came to change the world.  But we don’t want to hear that we need to be changed.  (Aren’t’ babies with messy diapers like that?)

3)      No Pain, No Gain.  Mary; the Cross; Us.

God’s Answer still is Jesus.

Isaiah 7:14 (NLT)
14 All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’).

Matthew 1:18 (NLT)
