God's Random Testing

GOD'S RANDOM TESTING
Can you imagine being tested for drugs and failing? But what if you were considered the best baseball player ever and the tests demonstrated conclusively that you had been always clean?
1) What if the drug tests in baseball also made the players better players?
2) How do we find out if faith is genuine?
3) Compare this with I Corinthians 3.11-14.
God’s random testing shows our spiritual health, too.
#393 1 verse
1 Peter 1:7a (NLT)
7 These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. [1]
1 Corinthians 3:11-14 (NLT)
11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have—Jesus Christ.
12 Anyone who builds on that foundation may use a variety of materials—gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay, or straw.
13 But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person’s work has any value.
14 If the work survives, that builder will receive a reward.
