Breaking down what happened before Jesus arrived.
Jesus' birth was a first of how Jesus will continue to arrive in our life.
I have personally experienced the arrival of Jesus several times in my life.
Everyone we are going to talk about the next couple weeks are coming out of a season of nothing happening.
They are an oppressed people who have experienced taking from both the Romans and their own people.
To make things even worse God has not spoken or shown Himself to His people in generations.
These people we are going to talk about have heard stories their entire life of how God did show up.
They heard what God did when He showed up.
They also heard the prophets words on how Jesus will arrive.
They were being divided into several groups based on what how they interpreted His coming.
Does this sound familiar at all?

Prophecy from Ted Hanson Jan, 3, 2021
I heard the Lord speak to me to hoist the Gollywabbler sail.
The Gollywabbler sail is a very light weight sail and it’s really big and it goes between the masts and it’s used when there is almost no wind.
You hoist this giant square sail it’s called a Gollywabbler and it’s able to catch the wind when no wind is coming in the sails.
And I heard God say, This is not the season of strong sails, it’s the season of trusting sails.
That if you will be light weight and you’ll   extend the full extent of who you are to Me, God says, you will find that My wind really is blowing and that I will move you in the direction I need you to go.
Zacharias
Zacharias had a person visitation from and angle sent by God when he was going about his normal duties.
He was past hope for what he wanted to happen in life
It says that Elizabeth and Zacharias were righteous in Gods eyes even blameless.
God sends a special angel to say He has heard his cries.
Even though and angel is standing before him, Zacharias still doubts what can happen.
Often our past experiences and lack of experiences are the enemy of what God is wanting to do.
Zacharias had a in person visit from and angel and he still did not believe at first.

Mary
Lets look at the way Jesus arrived and was first mentioned of His arrival to Mary first.
Mary had an in person visit by the same angel and she believed.
Bothe May and Zacharias asked how can this happen.
It appears that Zacharias had more history with disappointment in God.
It appears that Mary’s question was more about how it will happen.
She did not have the same doubt in God.
She said yes even when facing the doubts she had about herself and how it could happen.
Joseph
Lets look at the way Jesus arrived and was first mentioned of His arrival to Joseph.
This time the angel Gabriel came in a dream.
Now I have quite a bit of respect for Joseph for a few reasons.
First, his fiance is pregnant and at no time in history has a woman ever gotten pregnant without a man involved.
Second, Joseph was older and had more experiences and I would wager he had disappointments.
Third, he had a dream not a personal visit.
All of this did not detour him from believing.
How do we see Jesus arriving today?
Closing:
Out of these three who do you currently most relate to?
Do you doubt God will move so much that you will need a much stronger inconvenience in your life?
Do you hear God and need to know more about how and more encouragement?
Do you look for a reason to stay and a dream is enough to convince you that God is with the ones you love?
Often our past experiences and lack of experiences are the enemy of what God is wanting to do.
The way we think Jesus may arrive could be hindering us from seeing how He is arriving.
How are you going to adjust where, how and when Jesus will arrive in your life?
Hoist the gollywobler sail so you can find where Jesus will arrive next in your life.
Look for signs of Jesus showing up in ways you may not be expecting.
