Over the next few weeks in the lead up to Christmas, we have the opportunity to explore some wonderful and key OT prophecies that find their fulfilment in Jesus Christ. This will be a fresh reminder for us as Christians where our true joy and hope resides! In none other than the Messiah, Immanuel, our prince of Peace. This week we’ll explore a familiar Isaiah passage. I wonder if you have ever been sure of something in the future – so sure in fact that you speak of it already occurring! Well, Isaiah was so sure of the coming Messiah, that he spoke about it in past tense (~700 years before the coming of Christ!). Who was this coming Messiah? What exactly would he achieve for God’s people? Why was he so desperately needed for Israel? In exploring these questions, we discover afresh the great joy the light of the Gospel brings to God’s people still today, and into our sure future. Speaker: Timothy Gray
