6 For a child will be born for us, a son will be given to us, and the government will be on His shoulders. He will be named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
What would you say to George Bailey?
What make life wonderful?
Isaiah tells that Jesus reveals Himself as Wonderful Counselor.

How does that happen by His birth?

Jesus’ INCARNATION is THE Wonderful Message of Counsel.
פֶּ֫לֶא
Pele “Wonder” only gets used in reference to the Name of Yahweh in the Old Testament. This passage would be notable for predicting the Messiah not merely came by God, but in bearing the NAME “Wonderful Counselor,” He is God. God Himself cares enough to come to you!
In the movie, God sends an angel. In the Bible, God sends Himself.
He is the Father’s most Precious GIFT to you and all people.
The long walk is part of the gift. Operation Christmas Child Sunday teacher and Christmas gifts.

5 You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. 6 Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. 7 Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, 8 he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross. 9 Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names,
He cares enough to Provide the gift you need.
8 But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us.
He came to Personally restore you and me to the Father.
He sets the Pattern of Life for you. Philippians 2:5
5 You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
He gives your life Value and PURPOSE.
John 10:10
10 The thief comes only so that he can steal and kill and destroy; I have come so that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
In a study in a U.S university, when sixty students were asked why they had attempted suicide, 85% said the reason why they had was that life seemed meaningless. More importantly, however, was that 93% percent of this student who suffered this lack of primary purpose were from socially active, achieving academically and on good terms with their families. (Richard Leider 2007).
This goes to mean that, the problem in this generation is not a means of living but a meaning to live for.
The Number 1 reason fueling this generations particular problem with purposelessness and difficulty finding meaning in life is
THE REASON MANY DO NOT LIVE UP TO THEIR POTENTIAL COMES AS A RESULT OF

Talk to someone you think may be in distress.
Book by Dr. Edith Egers The Choice.
She earned a degree in Psychology and mainly works with individuals. She wrote this book in her 80s. That’s a lifetime of experience.
One may wonder why she switched studies since as a teenager, she had already become an accomplished ballerina and gymnast. But something radical happened. See, she had survived the evil of Auschwitz. She saw and experienced great pain and suffering
“Here you are! In the sacred present. I can’t heal you—or anyone—but I can celebrate your choice to dismantle the prison in your mind, brick by brick. You can’t change what happened, you can’t change what you did or what was done to you. But you can choose how you live now. My precious, you can choose to be free.”
― Edith Eger, The Choice
Jesus came to live with us in the now. When He ascended, He sent another just like Him, the Comforter
16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever.
Jesus will never leave you. Your past doesnt have to define you. Your choice to live in and with the Lord, the Father, Son, and the Counselor, the Holy Spirit.
Sponsor a family that may not have resources to make Christmas special this year. Make sure they know Jesus is the reason you care.
Visit someone who you know will feel alone during this season. Be the presence of God for them.
Give to missions so the message of Christ gets to everyone.
Pray for your missionaries.
