I. Love focuses on others and not self

John 3:16 NASB95
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
God provides us with the perfect model of love and of giving in sending his only son from to glory of heaven to the squalor of a Bethlehem stable.
Jesus said:
John 15:13 NASB95
“Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.
When we sacrifice our self for the benefit of others we indeed show genuine love.
II
Let love be without dissimulation Romans 12:9
Romans 12:9 NASB95
Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good.
At this Christmas the greatest gift we can give is Love. In a celebration that is often filled with tinsel and covered with tissue paper, genuine compassion, concern and care is not concerned about giving gifts to get a return on the investment but to bless another without expectation of gain.
John 15:12 NASB95
“This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you.
