Intro

Galatians 6:2–5 NET
Carry one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. Let each one examine his own work. Then he can take pride in himself and not compare himself with someone else. For each one will carry his own load.

We all have baggage!

We all have baggage… Someone has to help carry it!

βάρος - Baros = Heavy Burden/load

We are unable to carry these burdens by ourselves, but they must be carried. So who is to carry them?
The Church!
John 13:34 NET
“I give you a new commandment—to love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.
By carrying eachother’s baggage, by supporting each other in life’s difficulties we are fulfilling, or as the NLT says Obeying the Law that Jesus gave is in John 13.
Read v3 & 4
Have you ever lied to yourself?

I’m not Above Helping & I’m not above needing help

Comparison Kills

Comparison with Man will destroy your spirit
Comparison with God’s standard will destroy your pride.
God will not hold you accountable for other’s spiritual gifts, he is only going to hold you accountable for the growth you are making in Christ, and the gifts he gave YOU.

Burden vs. Backpack

Mind your Load.

This is the sum total of your life. End of days.
2 Questions.
For the Christian, are you bearing others burdens? Are you doing life with people?
The church should follow that command and they are only able to because of what Jesus did in them.
