Introduction

What is blackface? Merriam-Webster: dark makeup worn to mimic the appearance of a Black person and especially to mock or ridicule Black people
NOTE: The wearing of blackface by white performers was, from the early 19th through the mid-20th centuries, a prominent feature of minstrel shows and similar forms of ENTERTAINMENT featuring EXAGGERATED and INACCURATE caricatures of Black people. The use of blackface is considered DEEPLY OFFENSIVE.
Some Christians are using a “blackface” for their own purpose.
Common statement made by both believers and unbelievers: “The CHURCH must be the catalyst for change in our community.” Why? Because people believe Christianity is founded on good moral and ethical principles although they do not believe the doctrine. Therefore, the CHURCH is called upon to lead and facilitate change but under the world’s supervision and guidance.
I agree the Body of Christ (CHURCH) must be catalyst for change but not in the way the world see’s it. We do it primarily through the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Through BOTH preaching the good news and righteous living.
