Malachi 1

I have loved you … when?
Surprising response from Yahweh
We might say what’s Esau got to do with it?
We know Esau was Jacob’s brother?
What do You mean You loved Jacob and hatred Esau. What was the difference between them? Why did You lay waste his mountains and his heritage - didn’t he despise his heritage? Why are You telling us this?
Are you meaning that You hate us now? Why? What have we done; we love You in our own way.
Well, Israel, maybe that’s the problem! You responde to Me in you own convenience, and at times that suits you. Why did I love Jacob? Do you know? Have you considered My ways at all? What do you think? Can you tell Me what you think I would like from you? Do you really know Me?
By your attitude you have despised My Name!
How have we done that?
Think of this: If the LORD had sent the Elijah to us and he had addressed us with these words: “I have shown love to you” ; would we respond with how have You done this, thinking of the stresses of life that attend discipleship?
It is these very trying times that are the love of God - moiulding us. The perceived challenges that have stressed us so
