Therefore, the Lord himself will give you a sign: See, the virgin will conceive, have a son, and name him Immanuel.
The farmer and the birds
The farmer was not a believer, his wife and children were at Christmas eve service
a great storm started, the man was in his house setting by the fire
he heard several thumps on picture window
saw birds seeking shelter and hitting the living room window
he opened the barn
he made a trail of breadcrumbs
still the birds refused the barn
The man surmised he was so large and imposing that he frightened the birds
he thought “ if only i could become a bird I could lead these helpless creatures to safety
about that time the church bells started ringing
the man sank to his knees realizing the birth of Christ was God becoming human to help His helpless creatures find safety
