State of the world after the fall
God:
Pray; May the words of my mouth and the meditations of our hearts be pleasing in you sight o Lord our Rock and Redeemer
God is light. In so many ways, he gave his people light. He was their light by night in the wilderness.
9 The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him.
11 He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him.
12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God,
13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
The one true light
The world was made through him to glorify God
He came to his own, to Israel, but at large they rejected him.
But for those that hold to him we will be saved. Not because we are good but because we were made new in his name.
You:
When we trust in him, when our hearts are made clean we will truly see. Tonight we celebrate this light that came.
We:
As we celebrate, let us remember the light. Even as we fell in darkness, even as we feel lost look to the light of the world.
