A Christmas Story
We read about the Savior King born in a manger. We read about the not so nice conditions. On a day of so much celebration like today have w noted the power, majesty, and tumult that occurs.
Jesus born to a virgin, is the God who leaves His throne to bring new life to all of humanity.
His story is like no other, before He is even born He faces an uphill battle… Contention and strife, even a death sentence.

Born to Conquer

Genesis 3:15 ESV
I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.”
His entire purpose is to salvage humanity
Proverbs tells of us (humanity) being His daily delight

Given for the Suffering

The prophecies tell of the need for salvation
The prophecies tell of people who were so opressed they could not deliver themselves
Isaiah 9:6–7 ESV
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.
No longer human government but a divine relationship (humanity could not obtain to the law)
This Savior King establishes an everlasting throne
Not our effort but His effort alone (He alone is able to provide legal…)
His zeal or Jealousy for His daily delight

The Need for His Divinity

Our Condition

Today we are in desperate need of the Savior
Mid summer poll says US is no longer a Christian Nation only 46%
We misinterpret what the church is as we say individually we are the church… when In fact Paul refers to the entire congregation of Corinth not a single person as the Church of Christ
Churches go empty
The vessels no longer worship either in their homes nor in the church
Churches have abandoned God and are found Godless and without Hope
The edict in America today is to eradicate Christianity
There is a death sentence a war that has been waged
But just like the arrival of Jesus the times tells us The Oppression is soon to cease
