God Comes to His People, I Kings 8:1-13

God gave instructions for a new temple. God has a permanent residence in the temple.

There was no sound of construction on the site.

Nebuchadnezzar tore it down the first time.

God’s work is serious business. God’s Word tells us how to do it His way.

1 Peter 1, 7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

We are not to be irreverent with the things of God.

1 John 3, 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
