the enemy: the first narcissist
the enemy: the first narcissist
What the enemy wanted, and still wants, was and is unrestricted, unimpeded, unfettered access to narcissistic supply. What he had was a tremendous source of narcissistic supply, not that it was intended to be such. The adoration and adulation was to be GOD’s and GOD’s alone. However, as many in Heaven followed in the enemy’s folly, and many on Earth followed thereafter, serving and praising The MOST HIGH was not enough. What impediment to absolute narcissistic nirvana did the enemy have? That was GOD HIMSELF.
Is there anything like the pride involved in subjugating and owning another human being? What a profound perversion of GOD’s relationship to humankind. GOD placed humankind in the perfect Garden of Eden. They had perfect bodies. Their labor would have been the equivalent of an adult putting together a young child’s puzzle. It was not taxing physically, or mentally, given their perfect minds and perfect bodies. Human slavery, however, is an entirely different matter.
