Born for a Purpose
Born for a Purpose
On this Christmas morning
I know we celebrate the birth of our savior
I know this is a day to spend time with family and friends
We spent time Opening gifts
But what if I told you…
That this day is not about Jesus
What if I told you that this day was about you and me!
We serve a God who has always desired to have a relationship with His creation.
I will take you to be my people, and I will be your God, and you shall know that I am the Lord your God, who has brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.
We are valuable to Him
We are His work of art
He loves us
He cares for us
This Christmas day is about us!
Or do you not know, brothers—for I am speaking to those who know the law—that the law is binding on a person only as long as he lives? For a married woman is bound by law to her husband while he lives, but if her husband dies she is released from the law of marriage. Accordingly, she will be called an adulteress if she lives with another man while her husband is alive. But if her husband dies, she is free from that law, and if she marries another man she is not an adulteress.
Likewise, my brothers, you also have died to the law through the body of Christ, so that you may belong to another, to him who has been raised from the dead, in order that we may bear fruit for God.
Sin was our master
Sin has a penalty which is death
God knew that the only way that we could be free from sin.... Is through death
God wanted “Us’ to belong to another..
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
He was born so He could give
Because He loves us....
She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”
Jesus wasn’t born to be celebrated but so that we could be liberated
Liberated so that we can be back in relationship with Him
The way Christ is celebrated is by our life!
Our life brings glory to God!
“That we may bear fruit for God.”
Jesus was born for a purpose
So we could understand our purpose....
