THIS IS MY LAST WEEK IN LODEBAR

1. And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan's sake?

2. And there was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba. And when they had called him unto David, the king said unto him, Art thou Ziba? And he said, Thy servant is he.

3. And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may shew the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, which is lame on his feet.

4. And the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, in Lodebar.

5. Then king David sent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, from Lodebar.

Mephibsheth is the only surviving son of Jonathan, son of King Saul. David wanted to show kindness to Jonathan’s family, and he was told that Mephibosheth was living in Lo Debar.

1. His Condition -{He’s Paralysis}

Mephibosheth was 5 years old when someone who was attending to do him good drop him, they were trying to get him away from the danger that was coming to his homeland, but they drop him; Because they dropped him he spends the rest of his life cripple not in one foot but both feet.

Somebody under the sound of my voice if you’re not embarrassed about it you can say Bishop that's me, I’ve been dropped. Someone has not advanced further along in life because somebody made a promise to you that they would love you, look out for you, cover you, keep you, but they dropped you, WELL DON’T WORRY ABOUT IT BECAUSE EVEN THOUGH THEY DROPPED YOU GOD IS ABOUT TO PICK YOU UP AND TURN YOU AROUND!

2. His Position - {He’s in Lodebar)

When who ever or what ever drop you your name now becomes associated with the condition you’ve been left in and the position you’ve been put in, he’s none as the:

“CRIPPLE ONE”, Someone listening has been call the ex-con, the prostitute, the drug addict, the con artist, the backbiter, the alcoholic and because we have allow folks to name us they have to put us in a place and the place is Lodebar !!

This is Mephibosheth Position which is Lodebar!

LODEBAR - Debar normally means “word” or “thing.” The prefix lo is a negator {Means invalid, or ineffective}; thus, the term Lo Debar would mean “no word” or “no thing.”

Lodebar is the place on the other side of Jerusalem where you put people that you didn't know what to do with them.

Lodebar is a place where people put you when you don’t fit into their way of life, their system, their norm, BUT YOU HAVE TO DECLARE THAT THIS IS THE LAST DAY THAT I’M:

EXCEPTING MAIL IN LODEBAR;

ANSWERING THE DOOR IN LODEBAR;

EATING IN LODEBAR;

SLEEPING IN LODEBAR;

HANGING IN LODEBAR;

I’M ON MY WAY OUT OF HERE!!!

3. His Transition - {King David sends Ziba to go get Mephibosheth)

Mephibosheth is in a place called LODEBAR and King David sends Ziba to go get Mephibosheth.

God can send somebody who doesn’t even know you but will bless you. That why you have to be careful how you entertain strangers, don’t be so quick to turn your nose up somebody or shy away from them because they might be the very person that God has sent to bless you!!!

ZIBA GOES DOWN TO LODEBAR LOOKING FOR MEPHIBOSHETH!!!

Mephibosheth, Hey man the King sent me to look for you, he has a seat at his table that reserved just for you!

The Bible never says that ask Ziba for his credentials

The Bible never says that he makes excuses because of his handicap

The bible never says that he asks Ziba, How we gone get there?

BUT HE GETS UP A GOES WITH ZIBA, SOME OF US ARE GOING TO MISS OUT ON WHAT GOD HAS FOR US BECAUSE WE TRY TO “TRACE THE HAND OF GOD AND NOT TRUST THE HEART OF GOD”
