Philippians 1:6 NKJV

6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;

1. you are not an accident.

Jeremiah 1:5 (NKJV)

5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

Psalm 139:14 NKJV

14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.

you serve a mighty God who does nothing by happenstance. The whole point of the creation account is teach us that nothing is random.

you are part of that creation and you are not random either.

God created you for purpose.

your feelings are not fact, God created us to do some things.

their are some things that God called us to do.

a. God called us to work for a living.

2 Thessalonians 3:10 NKJV

10 For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat.

Ephesians 4:28 NKJV

28 Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.

b. We are called to be of service in the house of God

10 As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

Matthew 20:28 NKJV

28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

Colossians 3:23–24 NKJV

23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.

C. Putting God first
