No, I'm going to deliver this. As I am directed. Praise the Lord. You see, this is a time of year when we all think to ourselves.

I'm going to make some New Year's resolutions. This is the time of year that we say, we're going to set some new goals, and they can be relationship goals. They can be financial goals. They can be physical goals, and they can be spiritual goals.

Do not many actually reach the resolutions. However, important they are.

Honestly, most people only make it a couple weeks. Before they gave into the pressures. So the world they gave in to their stomach. Growling at them were. They came into that wonderful little product on the Shelf. That's just can't leave the store with it.

You see most religious organizations origins of New Year's resolutions starter with a Babylonians. They made promises to their Lil G.

To return the borrowed objects, they borrow throughout the year and the pay back their debts. The Romans begin each year by making Promises to the little G. God of Genesis For Whom the month of January is named. No, I agree. It's a good thing that people should return what they borrow and I believe it's a good thing that people should pay back with a the debt that they borrowed. And I admit I had forgotten where the name January came from. But I am interested in people wanting to change.

And I'm sure God Big G. God is interested in helping you change. Also. You see? That's why Jesus was born in Bethlehem. That's why he lived in preach the word. That's what he just said, 12 men to continue on with his message. And that's why he allowed himself to die on the cross.

And that's why he was resurrected on the third day. Man, and that's why he promised. The Holy Spirit. You see God is in the business of helping people change their lives.

but remember, If you do it on your own.

Most resolutions fade. In less than two weeks. God knows we are unable to live in this world. Spiritual either way, we desire and especially the way he wants us to.

Just more than most of us are capable of doing on her own. It's going to have to take the help of God.

If we really want change in our lives.

I pray for some changes in people's lives today and not because it's just New Year's. It's because they have decided on a fresh start.

You and I need God's forgiveness. And that's why we repent. And that's why we get baptized. And that's why we need to give to the Holy Spirit.

We just don't make up our minds to do this this January. Just because it's New Year's Eve.

We do this in February. Can we do this in March? And we do this in April to my house. We will serve the Lord.

The paraphrase Paul in Hebrews 12:1. Let us run with patience. This race that is set before us. It's a long haul. It's not a short Sprints. We're constantly learning. We're constantly absorbing.

But we have to have an open ear and an open mind, and an open heart is the key. Consistency is the key. It's everyday. It's just not New Year's Day. It's just not a Sunday thing. Everyday thing. You need to wake up and thank the Lord for waking up. You need to let your head on the pillow and say, thank you, Lord, for the day, you gave me. This is a walk with God.

It's just not a visit to the spiritual emergency room. Although that can be a good start.

Run to the church. Listen to the word. Talk to people in the church.

You see we just don't come running here. Only when our lives are falling apart. We just don't pray. When we got no choice.

We just don't worship Him. Because it's 11 a.m. On a Sunday.

We're walking with God. We're walking with him on a Sunday or walking with him all week long.

You see Lady p and I are here when the church doors are open. We're here when the church doors are closed. We have faithful members coming and cleaning. We have faithful members coming and straightening up. I'm not doing the Glorious jobs of cleaning, the bathrooms, and sweeping the whole and vacuuming the floor.

Before the ones. Who comes just on a Sunday?

Someone says I need a change in my life.

Well, it's time for a fresh start. Someone says my family. You need some help. Well, it's time for a fresh start. Someone says I can't get rid of these burning. It's time for a fresh start.

It's not about New Year's Eve. It's about that. Jesus Loves You. Jesus came to this world, that Jesus suffered since Jesus died on the cross that Jesus rose. 3 days later. To give us the opportunity to spend eternity with him. We can't fix all of this stuff on our own. We need God's help.

Revelations 3:20. Behold. I stand at the door and knock.

If any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come to him. And I will sup with him. And he with me. Jesus is here. Your lord is here. You just need to turn and knock on the door. You just need to turn to Jesus and say I know you are Lord, and I need you.

You know, we tried to do it all on ourselves. We're big. We're bad. We're strong.

I've seen grown men turn to the knees.

I've seen women fall on your knees and pray.

Don't wait till it's too late.

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come to him. And will sup with him. And he with me.

Can you just imagine the glory in the wonderfulness of that invitation?

He said it to you and he said it to you.

Did you hear that? Open the door.

She's telling you it's time for a fresh start. Jesus said, I can heal you. It's time for a fresh start. Open the door of your hearts. It's time for a fresh start. Open the door to your mind. It's time for her first start. Open the door to your face. It's time for Fresh Starts. This is January. This is a new year. We have been blessed. To be able to see it.

Some people have died the last day of the year. Never to see this glorious day.
