*I. **INTRODUCTION.*
A. *Friday Night – Facebook – God’s profile*: a glimpse of the character of God and what His facebook page might look like.
We said that among other things, God is described as Love.
Everything about God is love – justice, mercy, grace, discipline, and, judgement.
God doesn’t have facebook.
He has Hisbook - The Bible!
In Hisbook, we find who He is.
B. *Saturday Morning - MySpace or His-Space?*
In this lesson we switched gears to look at who we are in Christ.
Who or what are we living for?
To be online with our Lord, it is no longer about “me” but about Him.
It is about giving up and giving in …to Him.
It is about love - This is what it all comes down to.
The sacrifice, the worship, the glory… In order to be in His Space, the space of the One Who is Love, we must LOVE.
We must also become LOVE!
That’s what all these things should be wrapped up in

*We have seen a glimpse of God’s character, looked at our where we fit into this and some of the expectations that God has on us, now, what does He offer us?
You want a relationship with Him? Do you already have a relationship with Him but not sure you are living the life you should?
You are totally confused and don’t know what I am talking about.
Well, God has promised all those who are in Him that He will give them incredible blessings.

**BLESSINGS OF BEING ONLINE WITH THE LORD (Or, being in Christ).*
A. Unlimited Downloads

I thought I was getting one thing, but there was small print I never saw.
2. God does not go to sleep mode when He has had enough.
There is never too much of you for Him.
B. Blessings of being “online with the Lord.”
(In Christ)

We have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ – *Eph.
1: 3*
2. We have been brought near (relationship now possible) – *Eph.
2: 11-13*
3. We have redemption and forgiveness of sins - *Eph.
1:7*
a) What does redemption mean?
What does it mean to be redeemed?
(1) Student at GL – used the word “contrite heart” and “penitent heart” and she didn’t understand.
Sometimes we throw these words around and really don’t understand the meaning.
b) How is having your sins forgiven a blessing?
(1) No more guilt, shame, living in the past

We are a new creature – *2 Cor.

5. We are chosen and receive salvation – *2 Tim.
2:10*
a) Who likes to be the person who is always chosen last?
b) How would it feel to be chosen first, knowing that you are who He really wants?

We will have all of our needs supplied to us – *Philippians 4:19*
7. We will experience peace that will guard our hearts and minds – *Philippians 4:7*

**HOW DO WE RECEIVE THESE BLESSINGS?*

B. By being baptized into Christ we have clothed ourselves with Christ – *Gal.
3:23-29*

**LIVING A LIFE THAT IS “ONLINE WITH THE LORD.”
(The so-what of this whole thing)*

A. It’s a life that is God-led
1.
Your life will not be led by you, but about God.
2. You cannot serve two masters.
You are the servant, and God is your master.
3. Does the servant tell the master what to do or vice versa?
4. We are choosing who we will serve whether we say it or not.
Indecision is decision.
B. It’s a life that says none of me and all of you (life of sacrifice)
1. Christianity is not a democracy
2. The Church is not a democracy
3. Once we accept Christ and are clothed by Him, it is not about you and what you want, it is what He wants in your life.
C. It’s a life that has increased responsibilities
1.
Where will I go on Friday night?
2. What will I do about my neighbour?
3. What kind of person should I spend time with?
4. What kind of person should I marry?
5. What is my role as a member of my congregation?
D. It’s a life of that will be filled with incredible worship
1.
The more we get rid of self, the more awesome worship becomes, because you cannot worship God while worshipping self
2. Once we have given up and given in to Him, worship becomes more meaningful.
3. Worship will not be about Sunday; it will be about everyday – what you think, what you say, where you go.
E. It’s a life that is growing closer to the heart of God
F. It’s a life that will pursue the things of God and not those of the world.

2. What standard do you use when pursuing your dreams?

*CONCLUSION*
A life that is online with the Lord is a great life, a life that can only be received by being in Him.
It’s a life of endless possibilities and a life that turn impossibilities into reality.
But, it is also a life that is not led by you, it is a life that is led by God Himself.
There are costs to being online with the Lord.
Everybody here this morning is in one of the four categories:
· Do not call Him Lord and do not do what He says or-
· Do call Him Lord and do not do what He says, or-
· Do not call Him Lord and do what He says, or-
· You do call Him Lord and do what He says!

A man is stumbling through the woods totally drunk \\ when he comes upon a preacher baptizing people in the river.
\\ The drunk walks into the water and subsequently bumps into \\ the preacher.
The preacher turns around and is almost \\ overcome by the smell of booze.
