My brothers and sisters, if our lives would reflect, a godly relationship we must not derail the early chapters of Genesis. They are critical for any discussion of biblical theology. It is The Book of Genesis, that carries the expression “The beginning” of which include creation, Eden and after—that the building blocks for understanding the storyline of the Bible are discovered, and it is here in Genesis 4:25-26 that prayer begins. It seems as, prayer appears out of nowhere, without a warning, without a sound and without a reason but prayer simply showed-up on the lips of those who decided to pray. No situation was pressing, no condition was pending, no problem was at hand. Prayer simply showed-up on the lips of those who decided to pray. This observation is enough to close our bibles, pray a closing prayer and go home.
