What is a resolution

According to the English Cambridge Dictionary, resolution means: a promise to yourself to do or to not do something: We know all about that dont we. I dont how many of you believe in NR but most people on this planet get themselves entangled in NR.
According to online learning platform goskills.com, these are the top 10 most common New Year’s Resolutions.

In the same article it is said that more than 46% of people of did this survey acrually fulfilled their resolution. There are many various forms of this of course. Some tips even to help us:
Stay positive
Try not to make big/quick changes
Change should be gradual
Build on smaller changes
Allow a little room for error
We will see the gyms full, shops will mame less money…for a while as people will spend less on food.
But there is another part of the definition of RESOLUTION that we dare not forget: This is what it is:
an official decision that is made after a group or organization has voted:
to approve/adopt a resolution [ + to infinitive ] The United Nations passed (= voted to support) a resolution to increase aid to developing nations.
It means a resoltion is a group decision. There a group mentality. One of the things that gets to be mentioned quote a bit in articles about ensuring the effectiveness of a proper NR…t is being accountable to someome.
Talk about it
“Share your experiences with family and friends. Consider joining a support group to reach your goals, such as a workout class at your gym or a group of coworkers quitting smoking. Having someone to share your struggles and successes with makes your journey to a healthier lifestyle that much easier and less intimidating.”
But for most people, they have the accountability in check and Christians do that too…trying with all of their might but they fail as well so many times…where are we going wrong. Lets get back to the Definition...”an official decision that made after a group organization has voted…A group decision has been made.
Joshua 3:1–5 (AMP)
1 JOSHUA ROSE early in the morning and they removed from Shittim and came to the Jordan, he and all the Israelites, and lodged there before passing over.
2 After three days the officers went through the camp,
3 Commanding the people: When you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God being borne by the Levitical priests, set out from where you are and follow it.
4 Yet a space must be kept between you and it, about 2,000 cubits by measure; come not near it, that you may [be able to see the ark and] know the way you must go, for you have not passed this way before.
5 And Joshua said to the people, Sanctify yourselves [that is, separate yourselves for a special holy purpose], for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.
God has laid out the plans for this year, it is for us to hear what He is saying. What to do. Many of us have made a NR without God…remember that a Resolution is a joint decsion.
But listent o this…set yourself aside,,,,sanctify yourself becuas you have not been this way before...
