Introduction

A. The Miracle of Babies

I would like to come on to this podcast with a new and profound insight but the truth is, the facts I am going to bring to your rememberance is something you already know, especially you women.

The story and true miracle of conception, the nine-month haul, and the miracle of birth profounds even the greatest of us and I thought it fitting to use in this sermon.

Truly, when a man and women come together and they “lay” with one another, they can produce offspring that is a combination of them both.

In order for human beings to procreate and keep our creation alive, God authored the miracle of conception and child birth.

When a woman conceives, the sperm that caused the conception is so small it needs to magnified so many times just to know it is there.

The freshly inseminated egg cannot yet stand and live on its own.

It still needs the mother’s nutrients.

After getting nutrients, depending solely upon the mother, this “seed” slowly forms its essential bones and organs that is needed for it to survive on its own.

From the time of conception to when the baby is fully developed and ready to live on his/her own power is a period of nine-months.

After nine-months, well we get a whole human being, made in the parent’s likeness, and after their image—a small human that is a combination of the mother and father.

God knew this and that’s why it is the way it is.

But I really want to draw your energy to the small living creature inside the woman and how it must be nourished, taken care of, often acknowledged, and never fed harmful substances in order for it to live and mature.

This tiny human being goes through many stages before coming to dine on earth with us.

For nine-months, this baby human must be taken care of inside the mother so that the baby will be healthy and mature when it gets here.

Compare the physical processes and the amount of attention the baby must have to be healthy and the spiritual implanting of a “seed of faith” that starts out not even noticed and over a certain period of time, with the proper attention and love, nourishment and care, this seed will mature and make one just like the one teaching the faith.

In this way, the Word is ultimately powerful to the maturity of the Christian and the producing of other Christians that are just like him.
